These pages are probably best viewed at
800 x 600 resolution
and
16 bit colour
or better. If the page seems to be "squashed" from side
to side and your resolution is 800 x 600, please decrease your browser's default
font size. (use the View ... Fonts menu in Navigator or Explorer).
The (non-working) graphics at the bottom of this page should appear on the one line, so you can test it now...
Most of the images used can be viewed satisfactorily at 256 colour depth but full size photographs in the galleries are "jpeg" files which need 16 bit colour. Pages were created using basic 'vanilla' HTML so they should work on any of the popular browsers. The only caveat is the judicious use of some JavaScript (will not work on older browsers) and tables (a problem if you have a very old browser). |

| The site has been tested on Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0, Netscape Navigator 4.5 and Opera 3.5 - if you have a browser which can not display the pages correctly please let me know. Due to differences between browsers, some pages will not look quite the same when viewed with Navigator compared to Explorer, for example. The Millennium Clock is a good example, it has white lines across its front panel under Netscape, not under Explorer. C'est la vie. |
